• Position: SENIOR MUNICIPAL ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Apply and promote MPE a division of Englobe’s health and safety rules
• Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion
• Review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Experience with lift stations, pumping systems, and treatment systems would be an asset
• Report writing and document preparation
• Construction contract management
• Project management experience
• Cost estimating experience
• Liaison with clients and contractors
• Ability to coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
• Self-motivated with leadership ability
• Possess good written and verbal communications skills
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
• Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+years experience in water distribution, wastewater collection, transportation, stormwater management, and drainage systems
• Must have a P.Eng. Designation and in good standing with APEGA
• Proficiency in computer software for modelling and spreadsheet analysis
• Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods
• Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere
• Self-motivated with leadership potential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Local to Red Deer Alberta or open to Relocation
