- Position: INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER/TECHNOLOGIST

- Location: Lethbridge
- Lead and support electrical engineering designs for Municipal Electrical team. Projects are primarily focused on: Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities, Pumping Stations, and Lift Stations.
- Prepare detailed design documents including calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Primarily design electrical power systems up to 750V.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
- Conduct site assessments and construction reviews to verify compliance with design requirements.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost estimates, and client communications.
- Lead and direct on-site commissioning.
Prerequisites:
- Familiarity in the following categories is a requirement:
- Industrial power systems (MCCs, VFDs, ATS etc.)
- Standby generators and backup power
- Understanding of PLC and controls systems
- Strong understanding of relay logic and control wiring
- Experience with instrumentation equipment (Flow, Pressure, and Analytical Equipment etc.)
- Commissioning and testing of the power and controls systems
- Strong understanding of Canadian Electrical Code, National Building Code and applicable industry standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Municipal Water and Wastewater industry or industrial facilities.
- Certifications (1 of the following)
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or diploma in related discipline.
- Registered with APEGA or ASET.
- P.Eng or P.Tech.(Eng.) certification is required.
- Electrician or Instrumentation Certificate
Additional skills that would be helpful:
- Experience with drafting or modelling software: AutoCAD, Revit, Plant3D, Solid Works etc.
- Experience with SKM and/or ETAP
