CIVIL ENGINEER

MPE’s Red Deer office requires the services of a Civil Engineer with a minimum 10-15 years of experience in municipal engineering.  The successful candidate should have the following experience and qualifications:

• in Civil Engineering
• Experience in water distribution, wastewater collection, transportation, stormwater management and drainage systems
• Experience with lift stations, pumping systems and treatment systems would be an asset
• Report writing and document preparation
• Construction contract management
• Project management experience
• Cost estimating experience
• Liaison with clients and contractors
• Ability to coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
• Show an aptitude of general construction methods
• Self-motivated with leadership ability
• Possess good written and verbal communications skills
• Eligibility for professional membership in APEGA

A sample of our typical projects includes:

• Replacement of underground water, sewer, stormwater infrastructure, and roads
• Water treatment and pumping facilities
• Wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities
• Infrastructure assessments and studies
