Alberta Environment - Carseland Bow Headworks Reach 1A AFFRA Flow Monitoring

Project Description:

Work involved design, programming and implementation of an AFFRA Flow Monitoring station in Carseland Bow Reach 1A canal. This station is shared by WSC and AENV. Equipment installed monitors flow and communicates via satellite to WSC and via radio link to AENV Carseland Bow Headworks Control system.

Alberta Environment - Waterton Dam Upgrades Spillway Gates, Diversion Tunnel, and Control Building Upgrades

Project Description:

Work involved mechanical and electrical upgrades to the low level diversion, spillway, and irrigation outlet. In particular, recoating of seven large radial gates, gate actuators, electrical panels, air handling systems and electrical services were all upgraded. Controls equipment and software were also included in this project so that these sites can be tied into the St. Mary Dam SCADA system.

Alberta Transportation - Carseland-Bow River Headworks System - Main Canal Rehabilitation Reach 1C

Project Description:
Work involved the rehabilitation of 3 kms of earth canal known as the Big Cut. This portion of the Carseland-Bow River Headworks system is unique in that it involves cuts of up to 25 m from original ground to canal invert.

Alberta Transportation - St. Mary Spillway Ancillary Facilities and Controls

Project Description:

Work involved construction of a new control building for the St. Mary Dam and Spillway. The work also included mechanical and electrical upgrades to the irrigation tunnel and low-level diversion tunnel.

Eastern Irrigation District SCADA and Automation - Bassano Dam Upgrades

Project Description:
Work involved the preliminary design, final design, programming and electrical and controls for various structures throughout the EID. To date, fifteen sites have been automated and integrated into the EID SCADA system. This program is ongoing with the addition of two to three sites every year. Sites that were automated as early as 1994 are still in use and our programming has adapted current hardware to accommodate this older equipment.

Western Irrigation District - McElroy Slough Outlet Structure Rehabilitation & Automation

Project Description:

The project included the design and construction management of a cast-in-place outlet structure with an automated radial gate; electrification and automation of the North Chestermere Headgates; flow measurement at Secondary ‘C’ Canal Drop Structure #1. Design capacity is 18.7cms.
